Himalayan Academy, established way back in 1982 in the banner of Everny Nursery School, in the beautiful picturesque valley of Soreng met many ups and downs in almost every sphere to flourish into the present form of well equipped educational institution of 21st century with an affiliation to CBSE , Delhi. Since the school is of Non-Proprietary, unaided type as a result it possesses distinct entity in the entire country. Thus the management of school is a challenging task and is however, managed by the registered Board of Directors in co-operation with Principal, teachers, local gentry's guardian-parents, well wisher of school along with school Managing Committee and School Governing Bodies.
Presently, school has 247 students availing modern days education to meet the challenges inscribed by tough competitive era. Trained, experienced and co-operative teachers create healthy environment in the students with utmost dedication and determination to make them better citizen of apart from being succeed in an individual field in their future endeavour. Our school has almost modern days amenities at par with all leading school exist in the state of Sikkim.
Our school has its own boarding facilities attached to the school with comfortable rooms for the students. We accommodate to students in our hostel with experienced caretaker and currently students residing in our hostel are fortunate enough as it runs under direct supervision of school Principal and the Warden of the hostel. These students get ample of opportunities to learn music, dance, martial arts and sports and games. Yoga and Meditation are also included to enhance their mind power and concentration.
We take it as our collective responsibility to impart better education along with best effort to shape up the future of students brighter. We very much look forward to your valuable suggestions, feedbacks in connectivity to the betterment of our institution.
